About Us

Heather Stiles grew up on the King Ranch, where her father, Joe Stiles, was Quarter Horse Manager.  She was fortunate to experience a wonderful ranch upbringing and learned to appreciate a good cowhorse useful in all aspects of ranch work.  Heather grew up during the era of Mr. San Peppy and Little Peppy and successfully showed their offspring.

Her experience was further enhanced by the opportunity to spend many hours in the saddle with Buster Welch.  Under Buster's tutelage, she honed her show skills, and competed successfully in aged events on horses such as Sangelina and Docs Peppy Gem.  Buster's influence, support, and encouragement have been integral to Heather's success, and she continues to solicit his advice.

Stiles Cowhorse Company was established in 2001.  Heather began to develop a quality cutting horse program with success in 2004 Non Pro Futurity Finalist, CJ Sancha.  She continues to compete and has been a finalist in multiple NCHA aged events. Her focus remains on raising, breeding, training, and showing quality cowhorses.
